Archbold 7th Grade
Girls Basketball

The Streaks hosted Pettisville, Tuesday, Dec. 15. Trailing most of the game, Archbold tied the score and sent the game into double overtime before losing 33-32. Hannah Hesterman had 10 points, 3 rebounds and 6 steals. Also scoring: Winter Fricke, Cassidy Williams, Megan Miller, Cayla Walker, Alexa Coressel, and Jensyn Garrow.

Archbold hosted Wauseon, Thursday, Dec. 17. In a defensive battle the Streaks lost 16-13. Coressel had 6 points and 3 rebounds. Fricke had 5 points. Hesterman had 2 points and 2 steals.

The Streaks (3-2) got back on the winning side, beating Fayette 22-8, Monday, Dec. 21. Scoring: Coressel, 6; Hesterman, Fricke, Mara Beck, Williams, Megan Miller, Brittany Miller and Walker.

Archbold 7th Grade
Boys Basketball

In two games before Christmas break, Archbold upped its record to 4-0 with convincing victories over Anthony Wayne and Wauseon. At Anthony Wayne, Archbold struggled to find any offensive rhythm, but the defense stepped up in the first half and held AW to one field goal. Archbold went into the locker room with a 21-2 halftime lead. Archbold outscored Anthony Wayne 16-8 in the second half for a 36-10 victory. Brandon Goering led the way with 10 points. Stephan Manahan and Jackson Waidelich also contributed buckets in the second half.

Archbold was at Wauseon, Thursday, Dec. 17. Again, Archbold’s defense was the highlight of the first half. Archbold opened the first quarter with an 11-1 lead and expanded it to 21-3 at the half. Goering and Levi Wyse combined for 13 points in the half. Archbold continued its domination in the third and built a 32-6 lead. Luke Fisher bucketed four points in the quarter. Archbold won 36-13.

Archbold is off until Thursday, Jan. 5, against Defiance.

Pettisville 8th Grade
Boys Basketball

Pettisville defeated North Central 37-27, Saturday, Dec. 19. Scoring: Chris Waidelich, 5 points; Troy King, 8; Logan Nofziger, 5.

The Birds are 3-2, 3-1 in the Buckeye Border Conference.

Pettisville 7th Grade
Boys Basketball

Pettisville defeated North Central 30-20, Saturday, Dec. 19. Scoring: Tate Kauffman, 8 points; Eli King, 8; Dustin Nofziger, 4.

Pettisville is 1-4, 1-3 in the Buckeye Border Conference.
