Archbold 7th Grade Football

The Archbold seventh grade football team ended its season on a positive note as the Streaks defeated Delta 26-6. That pushed their season record to 2-3-1.

Micah Garcia had a fine offensive game as he scored three touchdowns. His first was a well-executed screen pass from Tyson Schnitkey with fine downfield blocking from Kevin Boyers, Travis Jaramillo, Troy Flores, and Aaron Schmucker.

Garcia’s other two touchdowns were by way of the run. Jacob Wagner also scored a touchdown on a heads-up play from quarterback Chandler Wyse. As Wyse was about to be tackled for a loss, he pitched the ball to Wagner, a running back, who was off to the races for a 55- yard TD run. Blocking was provided by the gold offensive unit of Stetson Wilson, Colton Kinsey, Preston Klopfenstein, Camden Short, and Josh Maynard.

The Streak defense played another solid four quarters in limiting Delta to one score. Jeff Ramey intercepted a pass by the Panthers’ goal line and Lee Klinger forced a fumble. Other contributions were made by Logan Day, Christopher Guzman, Lincoln Parsley, Emerson Radabaugh, Zach Schooner, and Evan Wyse,

Other team members were Cody Beldon, Micah Bernath, Drew Coffey, Antonio Cuellar, Jase Grosjean, Tyson Helmke, Michael Hesterman, Josue Luna, Andrew Mayer, Garrett Moshier, Kenny Price, Santos Quintanilla, Quinton Ranzau, Jacob Reyes, Caleb Ricker, Pete Schoenals, Chase Smith, Forest Stuckey, Gilbert Urbina, and Koltin Zimmerman.
