Archbold 7th Grade Football

The Archbold seventh grade football team battled Liberty Center, Thursday, Oct. 16, at Spengler Field. The Tigers defeated the Streaks 20-6.

LC scored first to go up 6-0. Archbold’s offense sustained a drive of its own and reached the end zone midway through the second quarter.

Quarterback Tyson Schnitkey carried out a beautiful play action pass and found wideout Jacob Reyes behind the LC defensive backs. Reyes hauled in the pass and sprinted 63 yards to pay dirt, tying the score at 6 at halftime.

The second half was all Liberty Center as the Tigers scored a safety, offensive touchdown, and defensive touchdown to close the scoring. Archbold’s defensive unit played a solid game in allowing two offensive touchdowns to a big and talented LC squad.

Josue Luna and Lincoln Parsley each intercepted a pass and Chandler Wyse nearly had a third. Micah Garcia recovered a fumble deep in Tiger territory. Preston Klopfenstein, Andrew Mayer, Forest Stuckey, Jacob Wagner, and Kenny Price made nice contributions towards Tom Walker’s defensive game plan.

With one game remaining, Archbold is 1-3-1.
