The Archbold middle school track team was well represented at the third annual junior high state track and field meet, Sunday, May 25.
Beth Antar placed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 30 feet, 4 3/4 inches.
For the boys, Danny Young won the state championship in the 200-meter hurdles with a time of 26:93 seconds, which set a new school record. He placed 11th in the 110 hurdles in 18:18.
TJ Gerken placed 12th in the long jump with a jump of 16-6 1/4 inches.
Adrian Ramirez ran the 3200 in 11 minutes, 4.40 seconds for fourth place. In the 1600 he was 12th in 5:10.76.
Gabe Rodriguez placed 14th in the 1600 in 5:11:99.
Dylan Lantz ran the 100 in 12.83 for 24th. David Lauber ran the 200 in 25.29 for 10th.
The 4×400-meter relay (Dean Herrett, Gerken, Rodriguez, Young) took fourth in 3:55.22.
The 4×200 meter relay (Lauber, Lantz, Rodriguez, Herrett) took fifth in 1:43.42.
The 4×100 meter relay (Lauber, Lantz, Gerken, Herrett) took sixth in 48.93.- Donald Young
