Pettisville Soccer

Pettisville traveled to Monclova Christian, Thursday, Sept. 11 for its third game of the week. The Birds avenged an earlier 4-3 loss to the Thunder with a 3-1 victory.

Goals were scored by Brett Coopshaw (2) and Peyton Miller. Assists were issued to Elias Rash, Detric Yoder and Mitchell Avina.

The Birds traveled to Toledo to face off against Emmanuel Christian, Monday, Sept. 15.

Four minutes into the game, Avina scored off of a nice through ball from Yoder.

Felipe Chavez scored the next two goals, followed by two goals from Yoder to close out the half with a 5-0 lead.

Avina, Brett Coopshaw and Chavez connected in the second half to complete the 8-0 victory. Assists were issued to Yoder, Theory Eash, Coopshaw, and Chavez.

A strong defense led by Sam Rychener at sweeper and keepers Graeme Jacoby and Rash held off multiple attacks to seal the shutout. The Birds are 4-1-1.
