Archbold 7th Grade
The Archbold seventh grade basketball team wrapped-up a perfect 18-0 season by defeating Patrick Henry in the finals of the Northwest Ohio Athletic League tournament.
Archbold opened the first quarter with an 18-9 lead. Levi Wyse led the way with eight points. The Patriots trimmed the lead to seven with less than two minutes in the half, but Archbold went on an 8-0 run to go into the locker room with a 15-point lead.
Brandon Goering hit a threepointer to open the second half and the Streaks rolled from there, posting a 50-29 victory. Goering led the way with 17. Wyse and Luke Fisher combined for 25.
In semifinal action, Archbold faced a tough Bryan team. The Streaks outscored the Bears in every quarter to walk away with a 41-18 victory. Fisher led the way with 17. Also scoring were Gavin Morton, Jackson Waidelich, Grant Rupp, Goering, Ethan Warncke and Wyse.
Archbold battled Liberty Center in the quarterfinals. Jumping out to an 18-4 lead, the Streaks coasted to a convincing 62-16 victory. Fisher, Goering, Morton and Wyse led the way in scoring.
