Jewelry Reported Stolen




Several items of jewelry valued at about $900 were reported stolen to Archbold police.

Joann Bragg, 100 South Lincoln Street, told police on Sunday, Nov. 18, that several pieces of jewelry and about $60 in cash were missing from her home. The thefts occurred between Monday, Oct. 1, and the day of the report.

Among the missing items are a necklace valued at about $200, earrings worth about $150, and a pendant worth about $120. Total loss: $966.24.

Police were called to the Sauder Woodworking security office, Monday, Nov. 19, where Frank Chapa, 60, rural Swanton, reported the validation sticker had been stolen from his license plate.

It was last seen on the plate on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

No value was assigned to the sticker.

Herman Kauffman, 88, Fairlawn Apartments, Archbold, told police his bicycle was taken on Monday, Nov. 19.

Kauffman told officers on that day, he rode the bike from his residence to the Fairlawn Haven nursing home at about 10 am. When he returned about 3 pm, the bike was gone.

It was located later.
