Jane Adaline Nelson
Jane Adaline Nelson, 82, of rural Napoleon, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday morning, Nov. 26, 2008.
Prior to her retirement she had worked worked at Bil-Jax in Archbold and then Sauder Woodworking.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Henry County, Ohio on Aug. 1, 1926, the daughter of the late Stanley A. and Mabel (Wheller) Lee. On Sept. 29, 1945 she married Wally Nelson, and he survives.
She was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Mennonite Church. She was also a member of the Ridgeville Corners American Legion Post.
Surviving besides her husband, Wally, are two daughters Nancy Daniele of Cambridge, and Beth (David) Sutton of Muskegon, Mich.; four sons, Ric A. (Beverly) Nelson of Napoleon; Randon (Renee) Nelson of Salesville, Ohio, Ross (Deb) Nelson of Salesville, Roger (Trudy) Nelson of Salesville; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Short and infant sister Donelda Mae Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 at the Archbold Evangelical Mennonite Church, with Pastor Stuart Rex and Pastor Charles Zimmerman, officiating. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery.
Friends may call in the Narthex of the Archbold Evangelical Mennonite Church on Friday from 2 until 8 p.m., and on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to Solid Rock Missions, the Gideons International, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
