James E. “Jim” Trudel, age 55, of Ridgeville Township, passed away Tuesday evening, July 30, 2013, in his home.
Jim retired from Sauder Manufacturing in Archbold earlier this year, having worked there for 31 years.
Jim was born in Wauseon on Nov. 24, 1957, the son of John L. and Janette M. (Gearig) Trudel.
On Sept. 18, 1983, he married Robin L. Nagel, and she survives.
He was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Archbold.
Jim was an avid woodworker and loved deer hunting, photography, and especially spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife, Robin; two sons, Collin J. (Allie) Trudel and Grant D. (fiancé, Erin Crowe) Trudel; granddaughter, Ava Crabill; parents, John and Janette Trudel; sister, Jane M. Trudel; brother, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Trudel; and four nieces and two nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Jon R. Trudel and grandparents, Oscar (Mary) Trudel and Ivan (Thelma) Gearig.
A Celebration of Jim’s Life was held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Archbold.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Defiance, or The Ohio State University Cancer Research.
