Archbold municipal income tax collection is still behind 2012, but it is progressing.
Dennis Howell, village administrator, gave the information to council at its Monday, April 1 meeting.
From January through March, the municipal income tax brought in $927,025.85, which is $11,201.49, or 1.2%, short of the same three months in 2012.
During the first three months of 2012, the total tax collection was $938,227.34.
In February 2013, the year-to-date collection figure was behind the year-to-date figure for February 2012 by 1.48%.
At the end of January 2013, the municipal income tax collection was almost $100,000, or about 28%, behind the January 2012 collection.
February and March 2013 both outperformed the same months in 2012. March 2013 was ahead of March 2012 by about 11.6%, but March is not a big month for income tax collections.
March 2013, brought in $23,019.12.
