A person that loaded items into his vehicle from Dollar General and drove away was tracked down by Archbold police, a report states.
Police were called about 3:30 pm, Friday, Sept. 15, by store representatives. They said a customer told them a subject loaded items that were placed in front of the store for sale into his car and drove off.
Police were provided with an auto license number.
An officer spotted the suspect vehicle traveling north on South Defiance Street and made a traffic stop. The officer spotted the items reportedly taken from Dollar General in the vehicle.
The officer and the suspect returned to the store, where the suspect paid for the items.
“The subject was banned from the store in the future and will be charged with criminal trespassing if he returns,” the report said.
