Incident On Olds Lane Leads To Investigation

Archbold Police officers are investigating an incident on Olds Lane that is classified as a vandalism.

Police were called to the home of Sara Gigax, 1004 Olds Lane, about 9 pm, Sunday, April 6; officers reported a vehicle involved in a dispute at the residence was leaving the scene.

An Archbold Police officer stopped the vehicle in the 500 block of Vine Street. Eventually, all parties involved were taken to the police station.

Gigax told officers an unidentified male subject showed up at the residence and wanted to speak to Neil E. Klinger, 38, rural Archbold. Klinger was at the Gigax home.

The police report states the unidentified subject said he had “something to settle” with Klinger. It turned out to be a form of business dispute.

The unidentified subject pushed past Gigax, but she was able to get that subject back out of the residence before a confrontation became physical.

As the subject left, he struck the driver-side mirror of Gigax’s pickup truck, damaging it.

In the course of the incident, a second unidentified subject allegedly told the first to “go back and settle the score.”

No Charges

Officers told the unidentified subject that he should refer the business dispute to attorneys.

As of Monday, no charges had been filed in connection with the incident.
