Identity Fraud Cases Reported




Archbold police officers recently received two reports of identity fraud.

Timothy D. McQuade, 43, 229 Rosewood Court, told police on Saturday, May 19, someone had opened a checking account in Dayton under his name.

The unknown person had written a check on the account for $228.97.

Police gave McQuade contact numbers for the Dayton Police Department Detective Bureau.

Thomas J. Lydon, 47, East Gardens, told officers on Tuesday, May 22, that someone had used his personal information to purchase a membership in a purchasing club, at a cost of $99.49 with a $14 monthly service charge.

The case is marked closed, pending further information.
