Icy Road Leads To Fatal Crash



Tina M. Goodwin, 56, Wauseon, was killed in a two-vehicle accident about 8:48 am, Tuesday, Oct. 30, when the car she was driving went out of control on an ice-covered bridge.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a press release Goodwin was driving a car east on US20A, when the vehicle crossed the icy bridge west of Co. Rd. 12.

Her auto went out of control, crossed the centerline, and collided with a westbound pickup truck driven by Jared McClarren, 59, Wauseon.

ALS-8, the Wauseon-based Fulton County paramedic unit, Wauseon Fire & Rescue, Wauseon police, Fulton County sheriff deputies, and OSHP troopers all responded.

Goodwin was taken to the Fulton County Health Center, where she was pronounced dead.

McClarren was also taken to FCHC. He was treated and released.
