John Huffman, veteran Archbold kart racer, swept the three races in his class at the Fort Wayne (Ind.) kart track, Friday, Aug. 30.
He was first in both heat races and the feature event of the super-heavy class. He was also the season class champion, based on points awarded during the season.
Kyle DeKnight, Pettisville, had a tough night racing in the stock heavy class that same evening.
After starting in the back of the first heat, he worked his way to second when the checkered flag fell. He won his second heat.
In the feature event, he tangled with another kart at the start, and was sent to the back of the pack. He fought his way back to finish fourth.
In the pro oval class at the Fremont track, Sunday, Sept. 8, Huffman won all three races. He is the points leader in the pro oval at Fremont.
