John Huffman, veteran Archbold kart racer, picked up his first feature win of the season in the stock heavy class at Jackson, Mich., Friday, July 11.
Huffman was the second-fastest qualifier to Vance Nofziger, Pandora and formerly of Archbold, who set fast time for the night. Nofziger went on to win the heat race. Huffman was third.
In the feature, Nofziger was battling for the lead when two karts tangled. Huffman benefi ted, took advantage of a good restart, and got the victory. Nofziger was third.
Nofziger leads the stock heavy season points chase; Huffman is third.
Danielle Frey, Pettisville, swept the senior econo, setting fast time and winning the heat race and feature.
Tyler Herschberger, 13, Pettisville, ran the 250 cc unrestricted mini-sprint class.
