Howard D. Rupp, age 79 years, of Archbold, passed away early Thursday morning, Dec. 16, 2010, at the CHP Defi ance area In-Patient Hospice Center.
He was born Sept. 12, 1931, near Archbold, the son of Ephraim and Minnie (Diller) Rupp, and married Delores Troyer on June 4, 1955.
A lifetime resident of the Archbold area, he farmed, and trucking was his second occupation.
He was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Church and active in the Farm Bureau organization.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; four children, Terri (Tom) Benno of Oak Park, Ill., Jeff (Marlene) Rupp of Archbold, Tracy (Cathy) Rupp of Noblesville, Ind., and Dexter Rupp of Archbold; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a sister, Harriet Householder of Monclova.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Eleanor Bower and Miriam Kinsman.
Memorial services were held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Archbold Evangelical Church with Pastor Jesse Kahler and Rev. Charles Zimmerman offi- ciating. Interment preceded in the Pettisville Cemetery.
