Joy Andrews and Albert Bain exchanged wedding vows Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Cabrillo National Monument, San Diego, Calif.
The bride is the daughter of Carl and Janice Andrews, South Bend Ind., and grand-daughter of Herman and Kathryn Kauffman, Archbold. The groom is the son of Alcie Wilbur, Los Angeles, Calif.
Andre Gingerich-Stoner, of Kern Road Mennonite Church, South Bend, Ind., was the officiating pastor. Sharon Andrews, sister-in-law of the bride, was the vocalist.
The bride wore an ivory satin mermaid-fit gown with a trumpet style train and plumeria in her hair. Her bouquet consisted of pink stargazer and calla lilies with white dahlias.
Her maid of honor was Jeni Michalos, Denver, Colo.
Bridesmaids were Katie Savoie, Indianapolis Ind.; Karen Hughes, Los Angeles, Calif., sister of the groom; Megan Mack, Virginia Beach, Va.; and Jen Perry, San Diego, Calif.
Keshondra Bain, Los Angeles, Calif., was the reader. Alexandria and Morgan Hughes, Los Angeles, Calif., were flower girls; Davis Perry, San Diego, Calif., was the ring bearer.
Rob Chatelain, Madison, Conn., was best man.
Groomsmen were Eric Taylor, Phoenix, Ariz.; Doug Norton, Oxnard, Calif.; Jon Andrews, Lexington, Ky., brother of the bride; and Eloy Hughes, Los Angeles, Calif., brother-inlaw of the groom.
Rick and Kimberly Ammon hosted the reception in their Mt. Helix, Calif., home.
The couple honeymooned in Winterpark, Colo.
The bride earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology from Indiana University and is studying toward a Master of Arts degree in education. She is employed as an elementary teacher in San Diego, Calif.
The groom is the owner-operator shuttle driver for Sea Breeze Shuttle.
The couple resides in San Diego, Calif.
