A minivan, parked in a municipal parking lot overnight, was struck by another vehicle, an Archbold police report states.
The minivan, owned by Douglas J. Schmucker, rural Wauseon, was parked in the municipal parking lot east of the alley south of East Holland Street behind the Home Restaurant. It was parked sometime Thursday, Dec. 19.
The driver returned to the vehicle about 8:58 am, Friday, Dec. 20, and discovered heavy front-end damage.
The other vehicle left the crash scene. Police classified the incident as a hit-skip.
In an unrelated crash, a car driven by Chelsea M. Chester, 27, rural West Unity, was involved in a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Clyde’s Way and West Barre Road, Monday, Dec. 16, about 6:46 am.
The report states Chester was driving south on South Clyde’s Way when she went out of control. She drove through the intersection and struck the curb on the south side of West Barre Road. The car suffered disabling damage. No injuries.
