Kyle and Sydney Hageman, both of Archbold, and Lyla Heising, Pettisville, were winners in the annual Fulton County Spelling Bee, Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center, Archbold.
Kyle Hageman is in the sixth grade and his sister, Sydney, is in the seventh grade at Archbold.
Heising is in the eighth grade at Pettisville.
All three have won at least once before.
It took a total of 40 rounds to determine the winners from each of the five grades competing.
Forty students from Archbold, Evergreen, Fayette, Pike-Delta-York, Pettisville, Evergreen, Swanton, Wauseon, and Holy Trinity Catholic schools competed. First-place winners for grades 4-8 advance to the Toledo Blade Spelling Bee at Owens Community College, Saturday, March 10.
