Grand Jury Indicts 28 People



The Fulton County Grand Jury handed down indictments against 28 people, including an Archbold man, during a meeting on Monday, Feb. 8.

Of those indicted, 11 face charges related to drug crimes.

The Archbold man, Jaime E. Rodas, also known as Jaime Rodas-Bravo, 36, was indicted on a single count of trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present.

Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said Rodas allegedly “on or about Jan. 27, trespassed in a habitation when a person was present or likely to be present.”

Archbold police originally arrested Rodas on a charge of breaking and entering after they were called to the 817 West Street apartment of Teresa L. Taylor, 34.

Taylor, plus two female juveniles ages 10 and 14, were listed as the victims.

The police report stated, “The male party had entered the home while the female half was away.”

Others indicted:

•Jessica L. Jones, 25, Morenci, Mich.; indicted on one count each, breaking and entering, theft; on or about Jan. 15-16, allegedly trespassed in an unoccupied structure in Lyons and allegedly stole cash.

•Matthew A. Perkins, 29, Monroe, Mich.; indicted on two counts, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and one count each, grand theft, theft, domestic violence, assault, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, and having weapons while under disability; on or about Jan. 15, allegedly stole a firearm and cash, allegedly operated motor vehicle without consent of the owner, allegedly transported a firearm in a motor vehicle, allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member and another person.

•James L. Frontz, 34, Swanton; indicted on one count each, trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present, attempted trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present; on or about Jan. 17, allegedly trespassed in a habitation when any person was present or likely to be present.

•Sarah M. Koziel, 20, Wheaton, Ill.; Abigail R. Clasen, 18, Oswego, Ill.; Jamauris Johnson, 25, Aurora, Ill., and Jimmy L. Pearson, 51, Chicago, Ill.; each was indicted on one count each, possession of drugs, illegal processing of drug documents, trafficking in drugs; on or about Jan. 22, allegedly prepared or transported a drug for sale, allegedly possessed a false or forged prescription for that same drug.

•Amber-Elaine C. Duren, 28, and Brandon J. Oberle, 30, both of Monroe, Mich.; each indicted on one count, breaking and entering; on or about Jan. 16, allegedly trespassed in an unoccupied structure in Lyons with purpose to commit a theft offense.

•Charles K. Prentiss, 44, Wauseon; indicted on one count, theft from a person in a protected class; on or about Jan. 6, he allegedly stole grain valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500 from an elderly person.

•David A. Dominique, 45, Fayette; indicted on one count, illegal cultivation of marijuana; on or about Aug. 11, 2015, allegedly cultivated or manufactured marijuana.

•Clifford R. Canfield III, 21, Fayette, indicted on two counts, misuse of credit cards; on or about Jan. 9-11, he allegedly obtained property by using another’s credit card.

•Steven A. Smith, 34, Kunkle; indicted on one count each, illegal use of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits or WIC program benefits, possession of heroin, trafficking in heroin; on or about Nov. 13, 2015, allegedly prepared or transported heroin for sale, allegedly possessed SNAP benefits in a manner not authorized by law.

•Jacob M. Hamp, 29, West Unity, indicted on one count each, complicity to commit illegal use of SNAP benefits or WIC program benefits, possession of heroin, trafficking in heroin, permitting drug abuse; on or about Nov. 13, 2015, allegedly prepared or transported heroin for sale, allegedly aided another in possessing SNAP benefits in a manner not authorized by law.

•Brian K. Brooks, 26, Maumee; indicted on one count, possession of cocaine; on or about Oct. 31, 2015, allegedly possessed cocaine.

•Crystal M. Molina, 26, Bryan; indicted on one count, possession of heroin; on or about Oct. 7, 2015, allegedly possessed heroin.

•Jordan M. Peters, 20, Ashtabula; indicted on one count each, possession of drugs, possession of heroin, trafficking in heroin; on or about Jan. 31, allegedly possessed heroin and Alprazolam, an anti-anxiety prescription medication; allegedly prepared heroin for shipment or distribution.

•Angela N. Alexander, 24, Swanton; indicted on one count, theft from a person in a protected class; on or about Dec. 19, 2015, allegedly stole a cell phone from an elderly person or disabled adult.

•Christopher L. Hutchinson, 41, Delta; indicted on one count, domestic violence; on or about Feb. 2, allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member.

•Jad H. Sweidan, 67, Lyons; indicted on two counts each, aggravated possession of drugs, aggravated trafficking in drugs, having weapons while under disability, plus one count each, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, trafficking in marijuana, trafficking in cocaine, tampering with evidence; on or about Nov. 4 and Nov. 20, 2015, allegedly possessed marijuana, cocaine, and synthetic cannabinoids, allegedly prepared marijuana, cocaine, and synthetic cannabinoids for shipment or distribution, allegedly attempted to tamper with evidence in an investigation, allegedly possessed a firearm while under disability.

•Adrian S. Cook, 24, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, felonious assault, assault; on or about Jan. 9, allegedly caused serious physical harm to one person and allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to another person.

•Andrew L. Patton, 43, and Brandi L. Patton, 37, both of Holland, Ohio; each indicted on two counts, passing bad checks, theft; on or about May 1, 2014, to April 18, 2015, allegedly stole property from a business valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500, allegedly transferred checks knowing they would be dishonored.

•Jacob J. Wyckhouse, 30, Delta, indicted on one count, voyeurism; on or about Jan. 18, allegedly invaded the privacy of a minor to photograph, record, or spy on that person in a state of nudity for the purpose of sexual gratification.

•Dustin M. Lawler, 34, and Lance A. Washington Roscoe, 35, both of Toledo; each indicted on one count, theft; on or about May 21-22, 2015, allegedly stole property valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500.

•Jimmy W. Bailey, 34, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana; on or about Nov. 3, 2015, allegedly possessed the prescription painkiller Fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana.
