Grand Jury Hands Down Theft, Drug Indictments



Charges involving grand theft, drugs, and insurance fraud were included in indictments returned by the Fulton County Grand Jury, Monday, Aug. 20.

Twenty-one persons were indicted. Details of charges against four are detailed elsewhere in this issue.

Shawn J. Adams, 34, Toledo; indicted on one count, receiving stolen property; on or about July 6, allegedly received property valued at $7,500 to $150,000, knowing or having reasonable cause to believe it was stolen.

Joseph E. Benson, 28, Delta; indicted on one count, robbery, two counts, breaking and entering; on or about Aug. 1, allegedly trespassed in two Delta businesses with purpose to commit theft; allegedly recklessly used or threatened the immediate use of force against another.

•Nathaniel D. Bozman, 23, Toledo; indicted on one count, failure to appear on personal recognizance bond; on or about Aug. 13, he allegedly failed to appear for a pre-trial conference in Fulton County Common Pleas Court.

•Keith D. Cook, II, 22, Delta; indicted on one count, tampering with evidence; on or about Aug. 2, he allegedly altered, destroyed, concealed or removed an item with purpose to impair its value or availability as evidence in an official investigation.

•Victor T. Guerrero, 39, Napoleon; indicted on one count, possession of cocaine; on or about April 1, allegedly possessed cocaine.

•Jessica L. Hall-Berkey, 31, Swanton; indicted on three counts, use of deception to obtain a dangerous drug and two counts of attempted deception to obtain a dangerous drug; on or about June 2-26, she allegedly knowingly by deception procured prescriptions for Oxycodone, a dangerous pain-killing drug.

•Donald L. Heising, Jr., 25, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, breaking and entering, receiving stolen property; on or about July 16, allegedly received items valued at $7,500 to $150,000, knowing or having reasonable cause to believe they were stolen.

•Traci M. Hopkins, 20, Toledo; indicted on 12 counts, misuse of credit cards, one count, theft from an elderly person or disabled adult; on or about May 29 to July 26, she allegedly obtained property by using the credit card of a disabled person, knowing or having cause to believe it was expired or revoked; allegedly knowingly stole property valued at $1,000 or more from a disabled person.

•Mac E. Merillat, 34, Fayette; indicted on one count, corrupting another with drugs; on or about July 7, he allegedly knowingly furnished a controlled substance to a juvenile.

•Brandon M. Morgan, 19, Swanton; indicted on one count each, tampering with drugs and corrupting another with drugs; on or about July 5, he allegedly knowingly furnished a controlled substance to a juvenile, and knowingly altered a package containing a dangerous drug.

•Sean W. Murray, 19, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, grand theft of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering, tampering with evidence; on or about March 18 to April 27, he allegedly stole a motor vehicle and tampered with evidence in an offi cial investigation.

•Ryan P. Nofziger, 36, West Unity; indicted on one count, grand theft; on or about March 17, 2011 to July 12, 2012, allegedly stole powder coating paint from a business.

•Matthew P. Piloseno, 21, Swanton; indicted on one count, domestic violence; on or about Aug. 13, allegedly knowingly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member.

•J. Cirilo Reyes, II, 19, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, grand theft of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering, tampering with evidence; on or about March 18 to April 27, he allegedly stole a motor vehicle and tampered with evidence in an offi cial investigation.

•Kelli S. Reyes, 42, Wauseon; indicted on two counts of forgery, one count, insurance fraud; on or about Aug. 29 to Nov. 11, 2011, allegedly forged receipts from two businesses and presented to an insurer a statement, application or claim, knowing it was false or deceptive.

•Tera J. Tate, 27, Delta; indicted on one count each, burglary, grand theft; on or about July 14, allegedly trespassed in a residence in Swanton, and stole jewelry and coins valued at $7,500 to $150,000.

•Robert L. Wilson, 59, Toledo, indicted on one count, unauthorized use of a vehicle; on or about July 22- 28, allegedly knowingly operated a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, and allegedly removed it from the state or kept it more than 48 hours.
