Governor Orders New Closings, Wednesday, March 18Free Access


Mike DeWine, Ohio governor, issued more orders for selected governmental agencies and businesses to close today, Wednesday, March 18.

“This is a crisis you’ve never seen in your life,” he said.

“If you have symptoms, act like you have it. Stay isolated at home.”

DeWine ordered 181 branches of Bureau of Motor Vehicles offices to close at the end of business today.

He instructed Ohio State Highway Patrol officers not to issue citations to drivers who can’t renew expired licenses because of the BMV closings.

He also ordered all barber shops, hair & nail salons, spas, and tattoo shops to close.

As of 2 pm, 88 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state in 19 counties. The age range of affected patients is age 2 through age 91, with a median age of 48.5 years. 26 are hospitalized, and Ohio has had 0 deaths. –Posted 3.18, 3 pm
