Glen G. Grieser, age 68 years, of Hamilton, Ind., and formerly of Archbold, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 23, 2013, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born May 14, 1945, at Wauseon, the son of the late Charles J. and Sophie (Rupp) Grieser, and married Karen Stuckey on July 25, 1970.
A resident of the Archbold area many years, he moved to Hamilton Lake in 1999.
He worked at Sauder Woodworking Company for 39 years before retiring.
He served in 1-W Service in Colorado Springs, Colo., from 1965-67. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, boating, entertaining, and family time.
He was a member of Central Mennonite Church near Archbold.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; one son, Charlie Grieser of Chicago; one brother, Willard “Bill” (Marilyn) Grieser of Wauseon; two sisters, Virginia (Kenneth) Lee of Archbold, and Berneda (Dean) Wyse of West Unity.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Grieser and Paul E. Grieser, and one sister, Lueen Riegsecker.
A Celebration of Life service was held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Central Mennonite Church with Pastors Tim Lehman and Bill Holsopple officiating.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.
