Glen E. Rupp




Glen E. Rupp, age 93 years, of Archbold, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 7, 2011, at Fulton Manor in Wauseon.

He was born June 13, 1917, near Archbold, the son of John Y. and Margaret (Eberly) Rupp, and married Elma Caulkins on Feb. 25, 1943.

A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, he farmed and picked up canned milk for Swift & Pet Milk Companies.

He, with his wife, were custodians at the Archbold Evangelical Church for 26 years, before retiring in 1997.

He was an Army Veteran of WW II and a member of Archbold Evangelical Church.

He is survived by his wife, Elma; two children, Glenna (Melvin) Stickley of Wauseon, and James A. (Rose Mary) Rupp of Archbold; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Charlene; four brothers, Chris, Earl, Levi, and Rueben Rupp.

Services were held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Archbold Evangelical Church with Pastor Jesse Kahler, Delmar Caulkins, and Charles Zimmerman officiating. Interment followed in the Pettisville Cemetery.
