Girl Charged After Theft From House

A 17-year-old Archbold girl has been charged with delinquency by way of theft, after she was allegedly involved in a safecracking incident, said Martin Schmidt, Archbold Police chief.

Wauseon resident Tyler R. Waidelich, 22, was indicted by the Fulton County grand jury for his alleged involvement in the same case.

Tammy Bohner, 412 West Barre Road, told Archbold police officers that $1,300 in cash in $50 and $100 bills was taken from a safe in her home. The theft occurred sometime between 8:30 pm, Dec. 12 and 10:45 am, Dec. 13.

Schmidt said the Bohner home was not broken into, but the safe was forced open.

Waidelich was indicted by the grand jury on charges of safecracking and complicity to commit theft on Monday, Jan. 12.

The girl will face the charges against her in Fulton County Juvenile Court.
