Melanie J. Gilders, rural Delta, becomes the Fulton County Board of Elections deputy director, Monday, Nov. 17. She replaces Brett Kolb.
Earlier this year, Kolb resigned to become the county Emergency Services director.
According to the Board of Elections, there were 26 applications.
Since 2004, Gilders has been the county economic development workforce investment coordinator. Prior to that, she was a training officer for the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.
For three years, from 2001- 2004, Gilders was a Fulton County Job and Family Services account clerk.
Prior to her jobs in government, she worked as an office manager and bank teller.
