Dr. Gerald A. Perkins, 75, passed away on March 25, 2013.
He was born April 8, 1937, to Theodore and Anna Perkins in Swanton.
Gerry was an alumnus of the University of Michigan and graduated in 1967 from K.C.O.M. in Kirksville, Mo.
He practiced family medicine in Delta for 9 1/2 years, generously treating his patients with loving devotion and dedicated care.
Gerry retired in 2009 from his Ophthalmology practice in Carefree, Ariz. He will forever be remembered for his easy smile, wry sense of humor, tenacious, vibrant personality, and staunch devotion to the Michigan Wolverines.
Gerry will especially be remembered for his quest of academic achievement and thirst for knowledge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his devoted wife, Mary; brother, Robert; sisters, Jackie, Barbara, and Mary.
Surviving are his dauther, Elizabeth Wyse; son-in-law, Tom Wyse; granddaughters, Amanda Wyse and Abbey (Mike) Jiles; and two greatgrandsons, Aidan Wyse and Auliver Jiles; sisters, Dorothy Miller, Doris Cleghorn, Sue (Louis) Brock, Betty (Ray) Kolodziejczyk, and their extended families.
