FULTON, HENRY, DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO TALK ABOUT CO. RD. 24 UPGRADE
Dean Genter, Fulton County commissioner, said the commissioners will meet with commissioners from Henry and Defiance counties, Wednesday, Jan. 26, to discuss the potential development of Co. Rd. 24.
The meeting is at 10 am in the Archbold Village council chambers.
Genter said Fulton County has been working with the Ohio Department of Transportation, Village of Archbold, and German Township Trustees to explore the possibility of developing Co. Rd. 24 into an alternate route for St. Rt. 66.
The proposed alternate would extend from the Ohio Turnpike interchange south through Henry County to Domersville Road in Defiance County. It would utilized a newly-constructed interchange at US24, and extend as far south as St. Rt. 281 in Defiance, near the General Motors foundry.
"We’ll meet and talk about it, and see if anyone is intrigued by the concept," Genter said. "It’s a long-range goal."–Posted 1.24, 11 pm
