Fulton Co. Sheriff Dept. Reports Area Accidents




Scott D. Warner, 34, Montpelier, was involved in semi tractor trailer crash, Tuesday, Nov. 13 about 3:08 am on US20A.

The Fulton County Sheriff Department report on the crash states Warner, driving the semi owned by H. Edward Rudy, Defiance, was traveling west on the highway, about four-tenths (.4) of a mile west of Co. Rd. 25- 2, when he applied the truck’s brakes to avoid striking a deer.

The truck slid off the south side of the road, damaging the roadside, then jackknifed. He was not hurt.

Zebbulin A. Short, 19, rural Archbold, was cited by FCSD deputies for failure to control following a crash in Burlington, Sunday, Nov. 11, at 5:48 pm.

The FCSD report states Short was driving a sports car north on St. Rt. 66, and had stopped at the US20A intersection. As he turned right to go east on US20A, the car went out of control on wet pavement, and struck some landscape timbers and a mailbox. No injuries.

Rachelle M. Eisel, 21, rural Alvordton, was cited for failure to control, following a crash in the 18000 block of St. Rt 2, about 6:56 am, Saturday, Nov. 10.

The FCSD report said Eisel was traveling east on the highway, when the car went left of center, drove off the north side of the road, and struck a fence. No injuries.

Angela R. Wyse, 46, rural Archbold, was driving a van east on Co. Rd. G about 6:54 pm, Monday, Nov. 5, when the vehicle struck a deer.

The FCSD report said the van and the animal collided about 600 feet west of Co. Rd. 26. The deer was able to run from the scene.

A passenger in the Van was Amanda M. Wyse, 27, same address. No injuries.

Scott Barton, 41, Wauseon, was in a non-injury accident about 10:25 am Friday, Nov. 2, in the 19000 block of US20A.

The FCSD report states Barton was traveling east on the highway, when the vehicle went off the north side of the road and struck a newspaper box.

The report states Barton had a medical condition, and was unaware of the accident.
