Stephen Fry, rural Archbold, was the high bidder to rent 61.2 acres of farmable property in the Archbold Industrial Park.
Dennis Howell, Archbold village administrator, said Village Council approved a threeyear agreement between the village and Fry at the Monday, Jan. 9 council meeting.
Fry bid $175 per acre, for an annual figure of $10,710 per year for the 61.2 acres.
Ted Ripke, Ridgeville Corners, bid $160.50 per acre, $14.50 per acre less than the highest bid.
Rodney Buehrer, rural Archbold, bid $155.78, or $19.22 per acre less than the highest bid.
Howell said the land lies to the south of Nolan Parkway. Fry has rented the property previously.
