Friendship Days Features Activities For All Ages

Activities including an auction, 5K run, fishing derby, hole-in-one competition, and a worship service will entertain young and old alike at the Pettisville biannual Friendship Days event, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 22-24.

The event raises money for the Pettisville park, which is supported entirely by donations, and has been for more than 30 years.

The park does not receive any money from taxes.

Friendship Days starts with a Friday night dinner beginning at 4:30 pm. The auction, featuring hundreds of items donated by area businesses, begins an hour later.

The Friendship Days feature quilt, “Baskets In The Park,” designed by Glora Belle Yoder and crafted by Pettisville-area women, is being given away through a raffle. The drawing is set for 8:30 pm, Friday night.

Saturday is filled with sporting events starting with the 5K run, with registration opening at 7 am. The rest of the day is filled with sports, displays, and carnival activities.

Friendship Days concludes with the community worship service, set for 11 am., Sunday.
