Frieda L. Rupp




Frieda L. Rupp, age 83 years, of Archbold, passed away Wednesday morning, June 4, 2008, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold, where she had resided about two months.

She was born Aug. 22, 1924, near Archbold, a daughter of Fred and Huldah (Aeschliman) Stamm. She married Orville C. Rupp on Aug. 24, 1951, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 2005.

A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, she was a homemaker, and worked as a secretary at Rich Bros. Ford, the Farmers & Merchants State Bank, Liechty Farm Equipment, Lauber’s Clothing, and at D&W Collision for over 25 years. She was a volunteer at Fairlawn Haven for over 40 years.

She was a member of Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon, the Archbold B.P.W., CCL, and member and pastpresident of the Fairlawn Haven Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons, Ned (Charlene) Rupp of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Kent (Kim) Rupp of Osseo, Mich., and Brian (Julie) Rupp of Stryker; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one brother, Walter (Martha) Stamm of Archbold.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson; one brother, Mahlon Stamm; and one sister, Dora Mc- Calla.

A memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Crossroads Evangelical Church with Pastors Matt Boyers and Wes Hoffmire officiating. Interment preceded at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold was in charge of the arrangements.

The family suggests that memorials be given to Cherry Street Mission or Gideons International.
