Four Sentenced




Sentences were handed down by the Fulton County Common Pleas Court against four people convicted of crimes:

•Angela Calvin, 32, Bryan; pled guilty to receiving stolen property and forgery; on June 19, she had a stolen credit card in her possession which she used to purchase items at a rural Delta business; sentenced to 11 months at the Ohio Reformatory for Women, Marysville; ordered to pay $543.31 in restitution.

•Jory A. Schlatter, 21, rural Wauseon, previously pled guilty to falsification; on Feb. 11, made a false statement to law enforcement with purpose to mislead the investigation; sentenced to 180 days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, all but 10 days suspended on conditions he pay cost of prosecution and attorney fees, make $2,448.49 in restitution to the victims; was ordered not to enter Das Essen Haus, Pettisville.

•Eric J. Smith, 36, Lyons, previously pled guilty to gross sexual imposition; on or about Dec. 16 to Dec. 18, 2011, Smith purposely had sexual contact with another by force or threat of force; sentenced to 16 months in prison; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, court-appointed attorney fees, plus any other fees, have no contact with victim or victim’s family; found to be Tier I sex offender; must register and verify his address annually for 15 years with sheriff of the county where he resides.

•Jonathan Wheating, 19, Swanton, previously pled guilty to breaking and entering and theft; on Feb. 15, broke into a garage in Swanton and stole a credit card; sentenced to 20 days at CCNO, credit for nine days served; placed on two years community control; ordered to pay prosecution costs and attorney fees, make $2,321 in restitution to the victim, have no contact with the victim or family members, complete drugalcohol treatment, obtain his general education diploma (GED); failure to comply could result in 11-month prison sentence.
