Four Persons Sentenced



Four persons were sentenced recently in Fulton County Common Pleas Court:

•Jacob Brown, 22, Pioneer; indicted July 16, 2018, on one count each, aggravated possession of drugs, having weapons while under disability; entered guilty plea Nov. 13, 2018, to one count, aggravated possession of drugs; on or about Feb. 20, 2018, possessed the prescription painkiller Oxycodone; sentenced Wednesday, Feb. 13, to 20 days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, credit for six days served; two years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, attorney fees, $250 fine, be assessed by A Renewed Mind, complete recommended treatment, not to consume or possess alcohol or illegal drugs in home or vehicle, not to enter bars-taverns, comply with 12-5 am curfew. Failure to abide by conditions could result in 11-month prison sentence.

•John Felix, 58, rural Fayette; indicted June 27 on one count each, domestic violence, menacing; entered guilty plea Nov. 13, 2018, to negligent assault; on June 3, 2018, negligently, by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance, caused physical harm to another; sentenced Wednesday, Feb. 13, to one year community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, $100 fine within 30 days, complete anger management program at Maumee Valley Guidance enter; have no contact with victim.

•Brian Schlegel, 35, Toledo; indicted July 16, 2018, on two counts, operating a vehicle while intoxicated; entered guilty plea Nov. 13, 2018, to operating a vehicle while intoxicated; on June 23, 2018, operated a vehicle while under the influence of drugs; sentenced Wednesday, Feb. 13, to 18 months in prison, the first 12 of which is a mandatory term; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, $1,350 fine; driver license suspended for five years, no driving privileges during first three years of suspension; have restricted vehicle plates and ignition interlock.

•Ryan Fervida, 45, Delta; indicted Aug. 20, 2018, on one count each, pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor, rape, gross sexual imposition, eight counts, pandering obscenity involving a minor; entered guilty pleas Dec. 18, 2018, to gross sexual imposition, illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented material or performance, importuning; on or about Aug. 2015 to Feb. 1, 2017, Fervida had sexual contact with a person under the age of 13, created obscene material depicting a minor as a participant; sentenced Thursday, Feb. 14, to 99 months (eight years, three months) in prison; ordered to pay fees, court-appointed attorney fees, cost of prosecution; found to be Tier I sex offender, requires address registration and verification for a period of 15 years, with in-person verification annually with the sheriff of all counties in which he resides.
