Michelle Y. Blosser, 44, Wauseon, a former Swanton High School teacher, has been ordered to serve 10 days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio after being convicted in Fulton County Common Pleas Court of attempted sexual battery.
As part of a plea agreement with prosecutors, Blosser agreed to permanently surrender her Ohio teaching license.
Blosser was said to be a well-liked teacher at Swanton High School. Rumors alleging inappropriate conduct surfaced in March.
She was indicted on a single count of sexual battery by the Fulton County Grand Jury on March 19.
Court records show Blosser entered a no-contest plea to an amended charge, June 14.
In a press release, Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said, “On or about Feb. 10, while employed as a teacher, Ms. Blosser attempted to engage in sexual conduct with another who attended that school.”
In addition to serving time at CCNO, Blosser was placed on community control for one year, ordered to pay the cost of her prosecution and counsel fees, undergo a mental health assessment, and have no contact with the victim.
Failure to abide by the condition of her sentence could result in a one-year prison sentence.
