Florence Marie (Fraas) Zoltner

Florence Fraas Zoltner passed away Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2008, following a lengthy illness.

She was born July 27, 1919 in Archbold, and was the daughter of Henry and Mathilda Schultze Fraas.

She graduated from Archbold High School in 1937 and Wittenberg University in 1941. She taught at Gratis, Eaton and Archbold High Schools. For many years she served as church organist.

On June 28, 1950 she was married to the Rev. William J. Zoltner of Eaton, who preceded her in death in 2007.

She is survived by a sister-inlaw, Gertrude Fraas of Ashland; three nephews, Robert Fraas of Richmond, Ky.; John Fraas of Ashland; and David Zoltner of Denton, Texas; two nieces, Bonny Ambos of Sandusky, and Mary Beth Blanks of Ijamsville, Md.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mathilda Fraas, and her brother, Edward Fraas.

Florence Zoltner donated her body to the Department of Anatomy, School of Medicine at Ohio State University.

A private family interment will be held at the Archbold Cemetery at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial contributions, in her memory, be made to the St. Martin Lutheran Church, 203 S. Defiance Street, Archbold, Ohio 43502.
