Five Sentenced Recently



Sentences were recently handed down against five people, three men and two women, in Fulton County Common Pleas Court.

Sentenced were:

•Lacey M. Alvarez, 23, Delta; previously pled guilty to possession of heroin; on or about Oct. 12, 2011, was in possession of the drug; sentenced March 26 to two years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution and attorney fees, not to consume or possess alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs, stay out of bars-taverns, complete treatment at Serenity Haven, maintain employment or continue education, and abide by 10 pm-6 am curfew; driver license suspended six months, occupational and educational driving privileges granted; failure to comply could result in 11-month prison sentence.

•Brent A. Hardy, 29, rural Wauseon; pled guilty to attempted having weapons while under disability; on Jan. 7, attempted to possess two shotguns, knowing he had a previously felony drug abuse conviction; sentenced April 11 to three days in jail, credit for three days served; ordered to pay cost of prosecution plus jail fees; placed on one year community control; ordered to not possess or consume alcohol, stay out of bars-taverns, seek and maintain employment, forfeit firearms; failure to comply could result in six-month prison sentence.

•Mandi J. Harris, 34, Lima; pled guilty to non-support of dependents; from March 2 to Aug. 30, 2008, failed to provide child support, resulting in arrearage of $601.90; sentenced April 11 to 180 days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, 168 days suspended, credit for time served; placed on two years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution and attorney fees within one year, to comply with Child Support Enforcement Agency requirements, obtain a general education diploma (GED), seek and maintain employment; failure to comply could result in 180-day jail sentence being reimposed.

•Chad Provost, 31, Columbus; pled guilty to non-support of dependents; from June 22 to Dec. 27, 2008, failed to provide child support, resulting in arrearage of $1,322.14; sentenced on April 11 to three years community control; ordered to pay prosecution costs, ordered to not possess or consume alcohol, stay out of bars-taverns, seek and maintain employment, complete SEARCH program treatment if eligible; failure to comply could result in 11-month prison sentence.

•Justin D. St. Clair, 23, Swanton; previously pled guilty to possession of heroin; on or about Aug. 28, 2011, was in possession of the drug; sentenced March 23 to three years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution and attorney fees, not to consume or possess alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs, stay out of bars-taverns, not to possess or consume alcohol, complete SEARCH program and comply with aftercare, seek and maintain employment, or enroll in a two-year or four-year college, abide by 10 pm-6 am curfew; failure to comply could result in 11- month prison sentence.
