Five Persons Sentenced




Five persons were recently sentenced in Fulton County Common Pleas Court:

•Brian A. Burns, 21, Delta; possession of heroin; was in possession of the drug on Jan. 27; sentenced to two years community control, ordered to pay cost of prosecution, successfully complete SEARCH program at Northwest Community Corrections Center, Bowling Green; ordered to stay out of bars and taverns, no possession of alcohol or illegal drugs, abide by 10 pm to 6 am curfew; driver license suspended for six months; failure to comply could result in 11-month prison sentence.

•Dawn K. McNett, 28, Toledo; illegal possession of drug documents; on Jan. 11, was in possession of a forged prescription for the pain killer Vicodin; reserved prison term of 11 months; placed on community control for two years, ordered to pay prosecution costs, attorney fees; ordered to obtain a General Education Diploma, stay out of bars and taverns, have no contact with co-defendant Lavell Jones, abide by 11 pm to 6 am curfew; ordered to comply with community control terms imposed upon her by Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

•Jacob E. Olson, 18, Wauseon; previously pled guilty to theft; on April 17, stole a purse from a woman at Wauseon supermarket; sentenced to 11 months in prison.

•Justin B. Leveck, 18, Wauseon; previously pled guilty to breaking and entering and receiving stolen property; he and two others broke into two Wauseon factories; had between $500 and $5,000 in stolen property in his possession; sentenced to three years community control, ordered to spend 25 days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio; ordered to pay a $500 fine, prosecution costs, attorney fees, restitution; ordered to have no contact with codefendants Alexander Hofner and Mark Estel; failure to abide by conditions could result in 9-month prison sentence.

•Brian E. Murphy, 40, Napoleon; previously pled guilty to failure to appear on personal recognizance bond; between March 30 and August 16, failed to appear for scheduled court hearings in pending passing bad checks case; sentenced to prison for six months; also sentenced on passing bad checks charge; passed a bad check to Wauseon furniture rental firm for $1,164.12 on Jan. 12, 2009; eight months prison sentence reserved, placed on community control for two years; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, attorney fees, $25 per month supervision fee, have no contact with the Wauseon company; ordered not to possess a checking account, stay out of bars and taverns, seek and maintain employment.
