The final, official count of ballots in the Nov. 6 General Election will be conducted by the Fulton County Board of Elections today, Wednesday.
Kandice Lemley, assistant deputy director, said board members will meet to approve or reject provisional ballots cast on Election Day, plus absentee ballots cast that were postmarked by the day before the election and arrived at the board office within 10 days after the election.
Provisional ballots that were approved by the board will be counted in the final vote total.
After the ballots are counted, the board will sign off on the results.
In other election news, Lemley said no issues were filed with the Fulton County Board of Elections for the February special election, so there will be no special election in Fulton County in February.
The primary election is set for Tuesday, May 7, 2013.
The filing deadline to put issues or questions on the primary election ballot is Wednesday, Feb. 6.
