Five Pettisville FFA members spent Friday, Nov. 21, in Wauseon collecting toy and money donations for the Fulton County Toys for Cheer drive, along with other Fulton County FFA members.

While many students stood along the road holding signs trying to encourage people to stop and help with this event, others served pulled pork sandwich meals to those who stopped and donated.

In addition to money collected on Nov. 15, the FFA collected money from the Foundation game against Bryan, FFA cookie sales, and local businesses and farmers.

Ten students went to the Fulton County Fairgrounds, Monday, Dec. 8, to set up the store and stock the shelves for opening day.

The shelves consisted of toys, food, toiletries, and other items that would be helpful to those in need during the holidays.

Seven FFA officers and one extra member traveled to Wauseon to compete in the county Parliamentary Procedure Contest, Wednesday, Dec. 3. They had to take a computer test and hold a meeting in front of two judges.

During their contest meeting they must present opening and closing ceremonies properly and use the six abilities given to them.

The team of Jordyn Pursel, Justin Nofziger, Hannah Meller, Mikayla Crouch, Dustin Nofziger, Eli King, Jacob Dennis, and Matt Krill placed second in the county with a gold rating.–Mikayla Crouch, reporter
