Hilary Bailey was the agriculture student teacher this year at Pettisville. A senior at Ohio State University, she will graduate in June 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education.
Bailey has been student teaching at Pettisville since the beginning of the school year. Her last day was Friday, Nov. 14.
Bailey went into ag education because she always wanted to be a teacher and admired those who were in ag education. When asked what area she likes best, she said her favorite is ag communications.
She became interested in ag and FFA when her father encouraged her to take the class. She enjoyed FFA so much that she was a state officer her senior year.
Bailey made many memories during her time at Pettisville, both inside and outside the classroom, such as working at the fair and on projects in class. She learned how to help students balance school and extracurricular activities.- Mackenzie Nofziger, reporter
