The Pettisville FFA held an ag safety day, Friday, Sept. 26 to demonstrate the dangers of farm machinery to students in grades K-6 plus the agriculture students.

Members of Healthy Lifestyles Committee showed the dangers of the harvest season. Tractors, a combine, a semi-truck, and a livestock trailer were brought to the school. Elementary and junior high students visited the farm equipment and asked questions about some of the dangers, including the blind spots of the semi truck, sharp blades, debris that can be shot out of a combine, climbing up the ladder of the semi, and falling and getting caught in or under the large tires.

Students from the kindergarten classes reported they really enjoyed the day.- Mackenzie Nofziger, reporter
