Fall On The Farm Is Sat. At Sauder Village

Sauder Village will hold its annual Fall on the Farm event, Saturday, Oct. 11.

Visitors to the village will have an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities and see special demonstrations.

“Our farm days focus on the changing seasons and what each season meant on the farm,” said Kim Krieger, public relations-media relations specialist at Sauder Village.

“Guests have a chance to see it all come together, as vegetables that were planted in the spring are harvested in the fall, and summer crops are canned for winter use.

“Activities such as drying and packing apples, shelling corn, and pressing cider are just some of the activities pioneers did to prepare for the winter. Our guests can participate in the activities, and more, during this popular day at the village,” she said.
