Fairlawn Benefit Raises $37,600

Committee members of the 43rd annual Fairlawn Auxiliary benefit found themselves rushing around Friday evening to set up more chairs for the auction.

The 2007 sale set the all-time record for the fund-raiser.

During the Friday live auction a total of 53 handcrafted cloth items, including quilts, comforters, afghans, wall hangings, and baby quilts, were sold. Many handcrafted wood items also sold.

Seven items brought $450 or more.
