Eric N. Grisier, age 48, of Archbold, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011, at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice, following a long and hardfought battle with Kidney Cancer.

Despite the trials of the disease, he lived his life to the fullest and his faith never waivered. Eric taught so much to so many throughout his illness.

Eric was an engineer for Bard Manufacturing in Bryan for 27 years.

Eric was born in Montpelier, Ohio on Sept. 25, 1962, the son of Frederick and Helen (Potts) Grisier. He married Gwen Wachtman on Oct. 20, 1990, and she survives.

He was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Archbold.

Eric loved anything with the outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and sitting around a wellconstructed bonfire (constructed by him, of course). Eric’s greatest love was his wife and children.

Surviving besides his wife, Gwen, are his children, Emily and Adam Grisier, both of Archbold; his parents, Fred and Helen Grisier of Stryker; three brothers, Marc (Deb) Grisier of Toledo, Todd (Sabrina) Grisier of Archbold, and Scott (Cheryl) Grisier of Wauseon. He is also survived a niece, Katelyn Hesterman, and nephews, Wesley Hesterman, Christian, Grant, Colin, Luke and Cole Grisier.

Eric was preceded in death by his niece, Chelsey Grisier.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2011, at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Archbold, with Pastor Paul Reichert, offi- ciating. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery.
