Michael Krill, who just completed his junior year at Ohio State University, has received the James Warfield Athletic Training Scholarship.

Krill is the son of Tom and Cindy Krill, of Camas, Wash., and grandson of Mel and Betty Krill, of Archbold.

Tom is a former teacher in the Pettisville Local School District, and lived in Archbold and Pettisville.

The scholarship honors James “Jimmy” Warfield, who was an athletic trainer with the Cleveland Indians from 1969 until he died in 2002.

A student in the OSU athletic training program, Michael Krill will spend time working at OSU athletic camps, and then with the San Diego Chargers pro football team, before returning to classes in the fall.
