Bob Seaman, Archbold village engineer, said the East Holland Street reconstruction project should be completed by the end of the month.

“All the underground infrastructure is completed, but there are a few miscellaneous connections,” he said.

Excavation for the new roadway in a half-block area between North Defiance Street and Vine Street started last week. Pouring of new concrete curbs commenced Monday, May 6.

New pavement will be laid on the street, in two sections of alley, and a parking lot.

There were waterline, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer repairs in the project areas.

Lingvai Excavating, Bryan, is the contractor. The firm agreed to do the work for $267,962.
