Donations To School District Top $10,000 So Far In 2019

The Archbold School District has received $10,353.90 in donations in 2019.

That figure is taken from school board minutes for February and March.

There were no donations in January.

The largest single donation was from the Archbold Band Boosters, who donated a concert xylophone to the school music program.

The instrument was valued at $2,530. The donation was accepted by the board in February.

In March, 18 individual anonymous donors gave a total of $2,355 to the basketball program.

There was a total of $2,100 donated for the Ridgeville Falcons basketball game. The donations were accepted at the February school board meeting.

For Falcons Night, Saturday, Feb. 2, the AHS boys basketball team donned Ridgeville Falcons uniforms.

The event honors the his- tory of the Ridgeville school district, which was split and consolidated into the Archbold and Napoleon school districts in 1969.

Donors for Ridgeville Falcons night: Ridgeville Telephone Company, $500; Marc & Melinda Robinson, $250; Brookview Farms, SanJan, Inc, $150 each;

Fin Farm LLC, Bob & Peg Yoder, SSRS Designs & Photography, Beck’s Petro Country Store, Bret Ripke Concrete & Construction, Miller Construction, Miller Bros. Construction, Jeremy & Jennifer Hurst, Archbold Athletic Boosters, and the Ridgeville High School Class of 1969, $100 each; Sherwood State Bank, $50.

In March, School Board accepted $1,620 from the Archbold Athletic Boosters for softball uniforms.

An anonymous donor gave $648.90 to the school lunchroom.

The donation was accepted in February.

Another $600 was donated from Rivello Archbold McDonald’s, while $500 was received from an anonymous donor for the football program.

Both donations were received in March.
