Dog Case Turned Over To County Prosecutor

The Archbold Police Department has referred a case of a pit bull dog running at large to the Fulton County prosecutor office.

Police were called to a South Street home at 6:16 pm, where a homeowner had the dog described as a tan and white pit bull leashed in his front yard.

The officer took the dog into custody, and placed it in the village kennel.

Later, Justin Meyer, Archbold, claimed the dog.

A.J. Schroeder, Archbold police officer, said the final outcome of the case is pending the decision of the prosecutor.
